CLEP College Level Examination Program

DSST Dantes Subject Standardized Tests

TECEP Thomas Edison College Exam Program
- Navy College Website (official).  Links to all of the Navy Educational programs.

- Defense Activity for Non Traditional Educaction Support (DANTES).  The official DoD website for Federal Education Programs.

- Military.com

- Montgomery GI Bill.  Some of the older vets have sent me e-mails saying that they weren't well informed of their benefits and limitations.  The military does a much better job now of telling us about those things, from boot camp to tap class.  But there is a LOT of misinformation about how the benefits are paid out.  Only take official gouge from the official website or by calling the regional office.  One thing is true:  they are severely backlogged.  8-10 weeks processing time and that starts from the date they RECEIVE your request. So get your request in as early as possible.

- LifeLines .  Another All-in-one military source.

- usmilitary.about.com EVERYTHING about EVERYTHING you need to know about joining the military.  Wish I knew about this website before I joined!

-
OpNav 1420.1a, Navy's  Enlisted to Officer programs BIBLE.  Outlines pretty much all the ways enlisted personel can earn a Naval Commission.  Does NOT include the other branches.

Air Force Enlisted to Officer website  They have two programs that allow for

Navy Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC)

Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps

Naval Academy

Air Force Academy

AirWarriors.com

usnavyocs.com

usairforceots.com

Army Warrant Officer programs  - yeah, the army has stuff too.

- usmilitary.about.com  Great overall website for all the branches of the armed forces and covers all sorts of programs, including different types of reserve and active duty enlistments (yes, there's different jobs with different time obligations, school requirements, etc.)

This is not complete
BAin4Weeks.com - awesome website that tells the amazing story of how this one man, Lawrie Miller, earned 2 BA degrees (Business and Psychology) in a very short amount of time entirely through exams.
The Lariat Group - Offers various debt settlement programs such as mortgage release, auto loan release, credit card debt elimination, credit repair, etc.  Also features unique products such as biodiesel, medec, etc.  When it says "get back to the person that referred you", that would be me.

Karl Laren -  His extensive research on MSM, germanium and other antioxidants and many vitamins have earned my respect.  LOADS of information on effective alternative medicine and viewpoints on the true meaning of wellness.

123CrazyMoney.com - Features paying High Yield Investment Programs (HYIPs) and other money making online business/network opportunities the author found worthwhile.

2004 McCormack & Associates (www.militarylawyers.org)

http://www.davidsheldonlaw.com/  military law specialists
Credit by experience/job training evaluation/etc.
American Council on Education ACE - The most recognized institution for evaluating job training, military schools, etc for recommendations on awarding specific non-traditional college credits.  I.e. these are the people who evaluate those "ACE recommended credits" you see on your military transcripts.  They also do some serious lobbying for credited distance learning programs.
Transitioning/Seperating job-seeking websites

- usmilitary.about.com  Great overal website for all the branches of the armed forces and covers all sorts of programs, including different types of reserve and active duty enlistments (yes, there's different jobs with different time obligations, school requirements, etc.)

This is not complete, google search.  But actually, using websites like military.com and usmilitary.about.com and having a subscription to a major military publication such as the NavyTimes (armytimes, airforcetimes, etc) helps tremendously...they publish a "DecisionTimes" and "how does your pay stack up?" quarterly and a lot of employers advertise opportunities in those editions.  The classified ads sections in these publications can also be invaluable.
What about graduate (Masters, Professional, and Doctorate) programs?
I am currently going to Colorado Tech's online division for a MS in Management. As of this writing, I am over 1/2 way done with that program, which takes 15 months.  But honestly, I'd have to say for now, go with the dantes catalog for regionally accredited, distance learning programs sorted by state, major, etc.  2 out of the 3 "big 3" RA  schools have Master's programs, Excelsior College and TESC.
Study for the exams:
